I have nearly the exact same picture here in my hand, so close in fact, I thought maybe I had posted it earlier. Was coming back from a Peotone swap meet and one of the guys in the car mentioned he had never been to US30, but had heard their ads on WLS. Was driving a company car that day, and since company cars can go places regular cars can't, we drove in and most of the way down the track. Thanks for reminding me, because I promised to dig that picture out for someone else that has never been there.

Sometimes it's a small world... So I found out that a friend of mine previously owned this Mustang, and he said all the Shelby stuff is bs.

This car kicked around the Chicago area, he thinks the car was built to be raced and never was. Also the US30 sticker on the car was actually bought from his dad it was not a vintage sticker. When he had it, it has the stack induction but it was bolted to a piece of wood when he got it.

So there you go.

Hmm, that Vintage Mustang Forum link shows pictures like that too but the one of the back end shows white in the trunk and the proper looking holes for the Shelby taillights.

Mind you even if it turned out to be legit it's pretty far gone and anyone paying much would have to sink in a heck of an investment to restore it.

My local friend Tony V who owned the car for a while knew prior owners. He said when he had it, there was no trans in it, that Shelby trans was added later. He also added the US30 sticker lol.
