The steel plate with the green backs as you have shown were introduced in 1974, per the original dealer merchandising catalog (shown below with the other 1974 promo plate). By 1976 they switched over to the aluminum "high gloss" reflective version, which is much more common.

Great piece! I'd love to have one, but probably out of my price range.
