^ some people don’t even need a screwdriver; I had someone show me that they could get them off by just thumping them the right way with closed fists, it worked.

----You are so right, Anthony! I was at an auction in Knoxville and bought an 80 Corvette. Parked it directly outside the entrance door, and when we went to go to our motel the T-Tops were gone. There were several thousand people there and a swap meet as well. I went the next day back in the swap meet and probably bought my own T-Tops back from the guy who popped them off.....Bill S

My '72 had a rack on it when I got it. When I repainted it, I filled the holes. I still wanted to be able to use it so I put rubber suction cups in place of the bolt holes and welded a 1/2" nut on the center of the gas cap. Then I made a billet aluminum bracket that spanned the center two rack spars. Flip up the gas door, place the rack, put the bracket on and tighten the bracket down and load the rack up. It worked really well. On and off in a couple of minutes.
