The car currently has Cragar and Hurst cheater slicks on the rear for a more period correct look.

Me too, the 60’s gas pumps with their high octane option made those muscle cars run like they are supposed to. Plus that purple gas smelled great.

Select 260.

Tony at one time it was in the Detroit area. I will have to ask Bob where it came out of.

Love the body style on these cars!

Default Tiger Promotions

The Tiger promotions for the GTO started around late ‘64 and ended in very early 1967.

At most every Pontiac dealer during these years you would see various Tiger related items from a Tiger rug, Tiger toy, Tiger tails and even a ‘65 GTO completely painted like a Tiger.

A few vintage black/white advertisements featuring Tiger promos.

Both my GTO’s came with a toy Tiger from their respective Pontiac dealer when new.

Fortunately they are still in their Original place after 55+ years.

Default Win this 1966 Thom McAn GTO

This vintage Black & White photo shows a ‘66 GTO parked outside a Thom McAn store around Christmas time.

The car has Black painted Rally I wheels with Red Line tires.
You can see the exhaust resonators which were on All 1966 GTO’s.
Also, it seems to have a Majestic license plate frame.

The pole next to the car has a large Window Sticker displayed along with other information on this give away car.

If one were to own one of these rare cars, it would be cool to have this display duplicated with the plate at the bottom under the tire.
