Being that the car is now nearing completion, here are a few added pictures of the car taken outside my home on Sunday. Still have to finish plumbing the line loc (was waiting on fittings), add a lock pawl to the pass door, and tweak one of the door panels a touch, and it is done!

Had a good little chat with the original owner again today. I sent him some pictures of the car and he thanked me for reminding him of his youth, and for mentioning him on the show card. He then sent me a text with this image attached. He told me that this was the license plate he had on the car when he returned to Texas with the Z/28 back in 1970.

Kinda fitting for the Day 2 car it was back then. I'm totally diggin it'

Cool, you should check out if that plate name is available in Alberta or maybe Manitoba when you get there and put that on the car. Like the rise of the Phoenix.

Got the car out for a nice highway rip today and stopped to grab a few pictures on my favorite bridge. Some of you will recognize this bridge from a picture I took with the 68 a few years ago. Beauty day for a cruise with my son today!

We were out to get some video footage of the car being ran today, but our drone footage went sideways when the drone crashed. It was being flown under a high bridge and we suspect a hawk attacked the drone as it dropped about 80' from the bridge deck to the river below. We ended up finding it submerged in about 5' of water but it was too far from the shore to recover and none of us felt like swimming today.

The resulting video is the footage captured enroute to our chosen film site from a GoPro angle inside the car...and some handheld video my son took. Crank it up and enjoy.
