Very COOL! I sold an original air cleaner off a 1966 L-72 like this about 3 years ago for $750.00 and that I thought was a DEAL! . They are VERY hard to find.

That's neat it's a 65 Muncie. Probably a leftover. If you get a chance, see if there is a metal part number tag attached by one of the sidecover bolts on the main case. Partial vin number should be on the top of the case, near the front.

Unfortunately, that tag is long gone. Apple Chevrolet in Washington was original selling dealer.

Air cleaner looks good, correct snorkels, should have a flat bottom. Correct 696 alternator for a K66 (L Dec. date) equipped car. Interesting about the distributor. The part number 1111137 (M Dec. date) on the band points to a 396/325hp engine. It's possible a mix-up on the line happened??
