BIG,

Yeah, that's the stuff! Kind of a shame that big air cleaner hides it. But, big air cleaner means big engine, and if said air cleaner was smaller, then it wouldn't be an A12 car.....no thread....no posts....Darrell would be stuck in Camaroville not being tempted by another make.....Bob wouldn't even give me the time of day....and the list goes on. Man, what was the question?

Cheers

True.. Although I do not see myself restoring or preserving a MOPAR for myself... I wouldnt bet against me doing so on something other than a 'Maro.. Just sayin'..

Thanks, I've never paid much attention to the details on the MoPar wiper units.....I enjoy following along and appreciate the lessons.

Whelp.. Its been 2017 for almost 9hrs now and I dont see any new updated pics... No Rest For The Wicked, you gonna need to Fly Like An Eagle, because Time Is On My Side, but you could end up with No Time; unfortunately Time Waits For No One. But if you had Time In A Bottle then you would have Time but if you look at this as Passing The Time you willl end up thinking Those Were The Days and itll be Too Late For Love for the ole bee..

All joking aside the car looks amazing.. Keep it up!!

Yeps......it's this job thing! But fear not! Next week will be filled with photos, nonsensical mutterings, and various useless facts nobody cares about!

More to come. ....

Steam gun? Check! Glue? Check! Second carpet standing by for when I cut this one wrong? DOUBLE CHECK!!!! The carpet is down and it's starting to resemble an interior again! What about those doors? Well, there's been some set backs, and only a select few know the gorey details, but just know the Beater Bee and me are officially blood blothers. Meanwhile, I did get the passenger side door finished. Gary's car has 53K miles on it, and was parked inside most of it's life so there is very minimal wear on the door panels. As you can see here, after a good cleaning, they're just about perfect!

I can't install the back panels until after I get the headliner installed which will be in about a week or so. It's 24 degrees and everything needs to warm up before I start on the top and headliner. H-Town shuts down when it gets below about 50. Matter of fact, I think the only de-icing truck that IAH has is an old 1972 F-150 Ranger that's half rusted out and may even run on the Type IV deicing fluid that it sprays the planes with

Here you can see the interior trim code written on the back of one of the original rear interior panels. And new headliner insulation installed.

Cheers

Alrighty!!!! Moving right along!!!!! All I need to do is get the driver's door glass installed and I'll be all finished with doors! The day didn't start out very good. I showed up and there were puddles under the car from the rear, transmission, engine, and raditor. Funny thing? No fluid in the car yet and Bob at Glen Ray still has my radiator! Meh...no matter! Must not be an omen to how the day is going to go. So let's see...quarter glass installed..adjusted.....rolls up, rolls down. Man, I'm cruising!!!! What could go wrong? Nothing! That's what! I laugh at your deadlines!!!! Take THAT peer pressure, tic-toc of the clock, and Mikey with his constant badgering of when the Bee is going to get done!! Let me just take this here door glass, original to the car, and slip a new, overly tight, front felt channel on the, did I mention, ORIGINAL excellent condition door glass? Let's see...a little here...and whoa...a little tight. That's usually a good thing (oh!)......do-dee- dooo.....(push) (grunt)....huh....tighter than I thought....let me move this here....a little silicone spray.....{mmmmppph}...cripes! What the........{hhhuuuuuuummmmppppppppffffffff} there she goooe {SLIP........ BANG!!!!!!!!!!!} And as the last 1/4" size piece of cubbed glass drops from my hands with one hand holding the rear chrome strip and the other holding the vent frame...I'm left with this

....now I need to sweep up 12,000 pieces. Maybe 13,000.....I lost count. Well that's just great......Why do I even bother restoring cars? What's the point of all this??? UGH!!!!!! I got a car leaking fluid that has none in it....I found three tools the other day that I swore were lost forever and they were on the workbench right in front of my face...one stacked on top of another......and now it seems an air line has busted in the shop since all I hear is {SSSSSHSSSSHSHSHSHSSHSHSHSHSHSHHHHHHHHHHH} from the other side of the room! Time to regroup. 2017 has not gone very well so far. Stay tuned!!! More to come this week!

Cheers
