Well....several things are going to prevent that from happening this month. Mainly, the wiper motor is out being restored and until that comes back the dash won't go in since it's a royal pain hooking that up with the dash installed. Steer & Gear has the steering box, so I'm waiting on that too. but in the meantime, I've got the whole interior, doors, headliner/v-top, and another polishing round to do. Not to mention a bunch of redoing junk on the steering linkage finishes. Good thing I'm not planning on having this judged! So fear not! I'll have more updates and pics forthcoming!
And Bill....would have been nice to meet you too. Definitely next year! I'll be hanging around a certain car next year so be sure and say hi. And as far as the pics, that would be me with a tripod/ timer handy! I know.....pretty dorky but it's all for fun [once verified that nothing will fall on me if I move to set the camera! ] Cheers |

Compared to the toilet plumbing you had on the COPO.... ...yeah....they are a little weak looking even at 2.5" If I had a set of those things I'd just hang them on the wall and look at them all day. So friggin' cool!
Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm trying! Cheers |

![]() ![]() ![]() Window regulator final detail. Markings put back where I found them. Will you see them? Nope. Does anyone care? Not really. Is it cool!? Of course it is!!!!!! And you can see that part tag number hanging in the quarter window too ![]() Parking brake foot pedal, parking brake lines all installed. ![]() Something unique on the front fender splash shield retaining bolt at the fender. Looking at several survior cars, this bolt was blacked out with a a brush, not spray. I have seen some not blacked out, some got sprayed with the undercoating, but for the most part, this was hand painted. Just another detail item nobody will notice....or think much of.....or care about! Cheers |

Below you can see the torsion bar details. Remember those factory drips? Now you can see them installed. They don't face downwards...they basically face which ever way they happened to be installed. Torsion bars are indexed Left and Right. And the part number faces aft and is visible through the torsion bar crossember. 780 and 781 are the numbers for mine as depicted on the Broadcast sheet. OOOOOO! And you can see the cylinder bore size letters just barely under the engine paint telling the engine builder guy what sized piston ring to get!
![]() ![]() ![]() Front end with the K-Member support brace and that "2" marking I found. I used the survivor Bee's marking to simulate mine since mine was pretty far gone to really determine what it looked like. ![]() Transmission crossmember marking. What do all of these mean, anyway???? I'm pretty sure they were put there by guys knowing that in 45yrs people will be looking at them like cave paintings trying to decipher what they mean so they made them as stupid and vauge as possible! Cheers |

![]() ![]() Front suspension just about buttoned up. I'm waiting on some NOS upper control arm bumpers to come in before I get the massive drums on and let the suspension "hang". Once those are in, the car goes up in the air as far as I can get it with jack stands and then I can spray the undercoating in the wells. Yep....all this stuff goes on first then the junk gets sprayed over everything. I'm going to be a little neater than the factory was, but still going to get it as close as I can to the factory look. ![]() I detailed my spare tire with a few markings, paint blop where the wheel weight is to be installed, and the "104" sticker. I need to repaint the rim since it's a bit dull and showing some wear. All wheels are the correct 15 x 6 JJ "H" wheels. 4 are dated correct but two are a little out of date for my build. Is that the UPS GUY??!?!? PARTS PARTS PARTS!!!!!!
