Oh not only did I suggest that, I gave them Jerrys shop and cell number to call. I no longer have any interest in this car. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: ds1</div><div class="ubbcode-body">You should suggest they call Jerry before their misinformation costs them a lot of money </div></div>

Not all car dealers are bad!!! I am in no way defending Flemming's.
And sad to say, "Matching Numbers" doesn't mean what it used to. Unless there are sworn affidavits or complete and comprehensive appraisals/certifications pertaining to drivetrain components, the term "matching numbers" can now be used to identify stamped/re-stamped parts that appear as factory installed originals. It is a different ballgame and I was told by a litigator in the field (off the record) that the complainant would LOSE in court if the case was based solely on that term. I find it disgusting, to say the least, that the influx of money and dishonest individuals has made our hobby/passion into a "don't let your guard down" atmosphere. |

Dave, IMO ALL certificates of authenticity regarding valuable collector cars should be complete and comprehensive regarding driveterain/ components.

Exactly Dave. There are to many fly by night little dealers that misrepresent and sell bad cars to unsuspecting people. There are only a few I would trust. Chuck is a good one. Even here in my town there are a ton of little used car dealers. You know most of their cars come from the auctions. Auction cars can be good, but you have to wander if there is something wrong that the car is there.

I inquired about this car a while ago and saw the papers saying the whole drivetrain was altered. I couldnt find the email they sent me back but they tried to say altered meant like painted or something. Disgusting.
