I'm kind of a black or white guy. I don't touch anyone's personal property without permission, whether it's the straw in his Coke or the radiator cap on his Cobra.

Verne </div></div> X2...I would challenge anyone to try and move a cone or a coke straw...I might get my butt kicked but they'll know never to do it again. I don't touch anyone's stuff and they better not touch mine. One of the first things I taught my kids and my grand kids....if it doesn't belong to you don't touch it.

Any kind of big car show where I live is pretty rare so for the most part they're all fairly small gatherings. There really isn't a problem with saving a space or two for someone coming later because there is usually a ton of spots to park even if you come late. The problem I have personally run into is the smug, cocky types with the high dollar resto's and such that act like you shouldn't even be there. One guy came up to me and my family one show and had the nerve to say "What are YOU doing with a Z28?" Like I shouldn't own one. I'm just an average, factory worker, machine operator that sometimes can't even rub two pennies together, but I do have a 69 Z28 that is unrestored and is a nice driver. I just looked at him and his buddies and laughed. It really amazes me that there are a lot of people with nice cars with really shitty attitudes. It should be a requirement to have a good attitude if you bring a car to a show. I haven't gone to a show in a lot of years, too much drama for me.

Check out the post from the first guy after the flyer. http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...part=1&vc=1

I'm new to the car show circuit but..
My car is far from a "show car" but it was hard to watch a trophy go to a guy with a Ford Focus.

Here's my two cents.
Went to a show yesterday and parked in what I thought was a good spot in "Chevy Country" Got all set up and headed out to look at the talent and scout for some parts. Came back three hours later to find that the folks across the aisle from me had built a fire and crop dusted my car with a nice coating of ash. Seems like bon fires with hot embers floating it the air isn't such a good idea for a show.. JMO...
