How it was delivered to Don Yenko Chevrolet from the factory,(in the early years before the COPO program was accessed),and before he pulled the born with engine out &amp; installed a new 427cid. engine and added his stripes etc.

Simple answer. Big difference between a Yanko Camaro and Yenko Camaro! Some people just cannot be educated.

What's as puzzling as the purchase price is ...it didn't get to 300K by itself ....there were other bidders as well. I wasn't at the auction ...did anybody know the other prospective buyers ? I wonder what Hank Aaron's first home run ball is worth compared to the one that broke the record (756?)

the auction probably pumped the bids to get to that crazy number for a camaro that was sold at yenko and not a yenko camaro. i would have watched the block but it had already established it was a cloner.
