So I'm watching the Mile High Nationals on TV when they interview Erica. The commentator goes on to say that there is a well known rivalry between Dave Connolly and Erica. I know Dave was her former crew chief but, I had never heard about any bad blood between the two of them. I have noticed how they seem to ignore each other at the top end when they've raced but, I just thought that was intense focus.

Can anyone shed some light as to what took place between those two?

She left to go to Elite Motorsports...that's where it ended. They had a great bond as driver and crew chief but it seems that Elite gave her a better chance to have a full time ride as she sat out 6 races last year so this move was secure for her. Dave was a groomsmen in her wedding so there was allot of friendship lost when she left for Elite Motorsports.

It was the best move for her as there is no room for 4 drivers in one stable and expect to win against your 3 other teammates. She did right by leaving Cagnazzi Racing but she will never forget the things Victor did for her.

Here is Courtney and Erica...sis is a bad ass as well!

ESPN2 is where it is...you can go on ESPN3 to watch on Fridays on your computer. It always comes on late at night after the race...never during.

Dave loaded her on the trailer this weekend with an .007 light. He's a beast on the tree.

And Erica had a .037 light and lost by .0003...that's less then one inch. That was her worst light all weekend. Dave knew he had to plow the tree down to beat her. If she would have had a .036 light then it would be different ending.

Dave is very good on the tree for sure and one hell of a driver/crew chief. He now does his own car. No one was gonna beat the king of the mountain! Brutus is the man at the Mopar mile high nationals.

He don't have a clue what's going on....this was set up since the start of the season that they were only going to run enough races to get into the count down. She might still be leading the points after two races in the western swing but will be back for the last two before the count down of 6 races. This is good for the team to do this and work on things that help her in the count down.
