Somebody in the design studio thought it looked "fabulous".

WoW, nice!!!
I love N96 mag covers on anything...if that was even an RPO for '65?

Enough whining about the SS emblems as we got stuck w/ them on Canadian built 66/67 cars too.
They were used on our SB Malibu SS cars but looked somewhat better on the rear flanks, sad but true as an SS A-body didn't always equal MK1V's up here.
To clarify, Beaumonts are a whole different story!

I don't mind the Malibu SS emblems on my 65 at all. I agree with Pete that they seem to fit the rear quarters much better. Up on the fender they seem unbalanced which is only aggrevated by the Z-16 rear tail panel trim which seems incomplete. I think I could live with it if I were to ever own one.

Is it just an illusion, or is the emblem installed at an angle?

Looks like it's slanted to me as well.

Are those heat deflectors on the spark plugs ? Was that only installed on Z16s?

I remember Chris Daniels selling one of his to someone in Cape Cod that he said. "Needed it more than he did". Maybe that was Wayne ? The owner of the one at SEMA was listed as Daniels also but not Chris.

Wayne did indeed buy the triple black car from Chris Daniels.
