been plugging away at some nuisance items..fired and ran for a minute, wasnt very good [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/frown.gif[/img]..seems ARP head bolts interfere with the stock manifolds..had to remove them and add/grind some clearance on the back side...all coming together soon I hope. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/rolleyes.gif[/img]

OK..fixed the exhaust leak/leaks fixed the manifold I skrewed up [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/rolleyes.gif[/img] found the dead cylinder..forgot to adjust no 3 exhaust [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/rolleyes.gif[/img] replaced leaking intake gasket..antifreeze [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/frown.gif[/img] ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Nothing like raw gm performance. Looks good,did you modify the rocker lock nuts,set screws and studs to clear valve covers.

Ya Al, me too! I know it's more $$$, but the cost of doing these "special motors, it's well worth it. I would recommend using Evan Coolants. http://www.evanscoolant.com/ Now I'm not sure about leaking into cylinder or bearing area off the op of my head, but it is allowed at the track where propylene glycol-based coolants are allowed but there is a “No Ethylene Glycol" is the rule. So you can have full advantage of coolant over just water, yet still be within the rules in case of a spill/leak. Coming together nicely. You did a lot nicer job then I'm going to do with my '69 Nova ZL-1 build I'm finally getting to.
