been plugging away at some nuisance items..fired and ran for a minute, wasnt very good ..seems ARP head bolts interfere with the stock manifolds..had to remove them and add/grind some clearance on the back side...all coming together soon I hope.

Nothing like raw gm performance. Looks good, did you modify the rocker lock nuts, set screws and studs to clear valve covers.

Well done!!!

Those exhaust manifolds, smog, and the white stripes on the seats are the high points for me!!!!

Ya Al, me too! I know it's more $$$, but the cost of doing these "special motors, it's well worth it. I would recommend using Evan Coolants.

http://www.evanscoolant.com/

Now I'm not sure about leaking into cylinder or bearing area off the op of my head, but it is allowed at the track where propylene glycol-based coolants are allowed but there is a “No Ethylene Glycol" is the rule. So you can have full advantage of coolant over just water, yet still be within the rules in case of a spill/leak.

Coming together nicely. You did a lot nicer job then I'm going to do with my '69 Nova ZL-1 build I'm finally getting to.
