It is strange that black was not offerred on Camaros in '70 as it was a standard Camaro color in '69 and again in 71. There were certainly plenty of black '70 Chevelles sold, so I would not think it was soley a popularity issue.

I think it had more to do with the specific plants. Black was a "restricted" color in 1969 on Camaros.
