Having always been a GM man, I bought my first Ford in a long time when we got an '08 Navigator.
So far, not real impressed with their interior materials quality, mechanicals (bad fuel pump at 50k miles, bad motor in the running board at 45k miles, bizarre transmission shifts, etc.), and body fit on a vehicle that originally cost $60k? I sure hope the 'Stangs are built better...

The Mustangs have the highest quality of any new pony car according to all the info I see.. I have one.. Its well built, fast, gets great mileage, handles/stops great.. I was a GM guy for 45+ years..
BTW- the 5.4 Shelby motors can take 750 hp with ease. No internal work to achieve those hp levels.

I'm not sure I could argue any one of the pony cars had any real measurable quality over the other.
Pretty sure there are/were some serious issues with manual transmissions on the regular 5.0 cars. My point is that they are all far from perfect. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: flyingn</div><div class="ubbcode-body">The Mustangs have the highest quality of any new pony car according to all the info I see.. I think the ZL1 2012 camraro is the Most Powerful Production V8 in the World as of today 750hp ad over 620 ft lbs torque,Ford would have a hard time to beat this beast

I thought the ZL1 was at 580?
the ZL1's supercharged, 6.2-liter LSA V8, which is rated at 580 horsepower and 556 pound-feet of torque |

Let the war begin.
I have been a GM guy for over 40 years and after buying a new GT 500 back in 2007 i would not trade my good looking GT 500 for any Camaro. GM can stuff all the Horse power they want into the camaro but it will never look as good as a GT 500. Below is a photo of the New 2013 GT 500 and my 2007 GT 500.

Norm...The Chevrolet ZL1 is not 750 hp. You are probably mistaking the SLP conversion ZL1 for a Chevrolet build car but it isn't.
