After we returned from cars and coffee I spent a couple hours on some nit picky items that I needed to get done.

Touched up several various paint nicks on hubcaps, valve covers, generator, etc. One of the things that bothered me is the generator belt was not fitting properly even though we (thought) ordered the correct one. The belt was too long and the adjustment was all the way at the end of its travel. Jody Anderson helped with the actual measurement for a correct belt which I sourced and now the adjustment for the generator is right in the middle of its travel like it should be. While doing that I replaced a parts store hose clamp on a power steering hose with a more correct one.

Getting closer.........

Carb's showed up today at the office.......goal is to get them on the car tonight, fire it up and set the timing, etc.

Heard from the voltage regulator rebuild guy and that is finally in their que for restoration. Will be a couple more weeks for that, but the parts store one currently on the car works fine for now.

Is that the light at the end of the tunnel or a freight train coming at me the other way...........?!

Definitely not a freight train. Got everything installed and no issues. Took it on my test drive loop last night and drove it into town this morning for another test with no issues. No leaks, the new radiator works great and overall drivability is much improved. Need t to work out a few small items and finish adjusting the carbs/timing but it's pretty close right now. Time to enjoy it while working out the details.

15 months from when I started this journey my vision is complete....pics to follow as I'm away for a couple of days doing some fun family stuff.

Jake,
That puts you in the same category as Super Dave (PilotA12)
15 months start to finish. Not too shabby.
