This is a continuation of this thread:
https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat...ad5f#Post419191 A new member here, Dave McGaffe, (Grumpystoy), with a lot of help from the master of COPO location, Doug Perry, scored this barn find old racer at an estate auction in Stuebinville, OH. Parked in a garage untouched since 1974, this is a true Old School drag racer. Sometime later on, Dave will fill in more of the details. First is a picture of the original owner of the car, taken yesterday in Stuebinville. ![]() |

That car does not even look like it needs to be waxed.

Here are a few more from Stuebinville,
Doug Perry with the original owner. It looks like Doug is heaving a sigh of relief that he didn't drive that rollback three hours for nothing. ![]() The original owner got behind the wheel one last time before hauling it back to Columbus. ![]() The original motor was swept off a track early on, but this is a rat that can be brought back to life. Check out that cool can, looks like it was borrowed from a still. ![]() Good bye Stuebinville, Hello Columbus. ![]()

Dave and Doug stopped by the Bob McDorman show last night before stashing it in the Batcave. Here are a few more shot that I took, with a little help from Doug. I've known Dave for a long time, and he looked like a proud poppa.
![]() Believe it when I tell you, Doug was just as excited as Dave. He can't wait to start taking parts off this car. ![]()

I love it when a good plan comes together and it found a great home with Dave. Now give it a good wax job, go through the motor and get ready for next years reunion so you can slam your own gears... Mark

The paint job is first class, for 1970. With a little love and a lot of buffing, this hood will shine. ![]() ![]() Last one, the name says it all. ![]() ![]() If I get the All Access Pass to the Batcave, I'll keep everyone posted on the project. When this thing is done, look out! ![]()
