This is just a neat car and I am a big fan of the L-79 327, what a great find. I am starting to think that Cragers were the standard wheel from the factory on 66-67 Chevelles. Just about every great Chevelle I have ever seen has them.

![]() ![]() ![]() Googling for '67 A-Body L79 production indicates slightly over 4000 units...whether correct or not and if it represents all body styles ![]() ![]() ~ Pete

That's what I come up with...something like 4046 or so. It does cross through all chevelle & camino models including wagons. Of course if its in a 67 chevelle it would be in a non SS malibu such as this. Correct me if I'm wrong but in the 67 chevelle SS only the 396 325hp & 350hp motors were available? The L79 had a realistic 350hp rating in the past but was downgraded to 325hp in 67, although no changes were made, as not to compete with the new big block introduction. I've heard that many racers knew the L79 would flog the big block 350hp so this little malibu must have been a real surprise factory sleeper! Here's the cowl tag on the car. I've not been able to get much from it other than model, assembly date, and colors.
