It's currently a non-factory Maroon but it has been painted from the original color. I have not been able to take pics yet but will in a day or two. That's one of the things I'm trying to learn here with my question. What do I look for. What can I document from the car itself?

i'm no expert,but here a a few things.
-is the rear window slanted? -front headlights like a jaguar? -fly eye air cleaner? -phase III electronic ignition? -electric fuel pump up under near gas tank? -side gills facing in or out? -does it have an open hood scoop? -how about an extra "shift handle" off the passenger side hump tunnel? -any "stickers? -how about any 427/SS emblems? -single traction bar connected to middle rear end? -any baldwin chevrolet dealer emblem? all these do not make it a true motion car done by joel , they could have been done outside of "motion performance" -the ONLY WAY to verify if it is a true "MOTION "car is to pay the big bucks to joel !! if it is, then it will be worth it ! mean time send pics, cant wait to see! for your sake i hope it is !! joe

Would all of the 69 cars had the slanted rear windows? I've seen some that do and some that don't but they may be later year models.

no, they dont, nor do they all have the jag headlights either.
nor all the above mentioned items. they were made using a lot of the above items, but to customer specs., no two the same. also, these items were sold thru a catalog so you could mail order these items, put them on yourself, or by someone else and come up with a car that looks like a motion vette. that is one reason why to prove if it a "real motion" made car is to check with joel. the vette i'm doing as some "motion" parts on it, but i am putting everything on myself. thus only a "tribute/clone/what i like" motion vette. will not have the value of a REAL motion !!! ![]() pics will help, there are a lot of motion knowlegdeable guys on this site and i'm sure they can give better insight than me ! joe

Yeah, that's true. The ONLY thing that has me thinking "maybe" is that the modifcations I was able to see in the brief period I looked at the car looked fantastic. Having lived through the 70's and worked at a Vette shop for a while I've seen my fair share of crappy flares. These look like they were born on the car. I would love to know from someone who has or has seen a real BM Vette if the flares look as good on the inside as they do on the outside on a BM car. These look great. The taillights also look perfectly done. When I was there last I spent my time checking out the drivetrain parts and verifying them. Next trip I am looking for Baldwin Motion evidence. I'll take pics and post them in a day or two.
