Numbers Schmumbers, put a crate 500 HP small block in that thing and go find some Honda Civics with loud mufflers. If anybody wants to check the numbers, they can look at the original engine on the stand in your garage. When you are you hiring the f/t Jay Leno guy to keep your fleet in tip top shape and ready to go at a moments notice.? Nice car, see you in a week.SULLY

[ QUOTE ] Nothing Exotic.......But it's all original.....Original Paint, Rust Free California Car.....283 4 Speed......Seen it at the Nova Nationals earlier (Wayne Bushey's Car) this year and just put the deal together......Gonna be tough not to touch it, looks like the Engine was touched up a little but this is "New" Territory for me....LOL......Got "All" the paperwork with the car......from the original Sales Receipt to all the Service work done to the car in it's lifetime........Just a "Quiet" Neat Old "Beater"......here's some pic's..... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ken [/ QUOTE ] |

I'm probably gonna get some Flack,.......But......Again...being a Numbers guy ain't so Easy........I couldn't leave it alone......At sometime in it's past, someone used rattle can Trunk splatter paint on the lower part of the trunk ....."And" ......when the passenger side front fender was re-painted back in the 70's
........it was a shade or two off.......and there were some little dent's in the car......Took the car to Nostalgic and Kevin and Joe redid the Trunk Splatter as original......"And"........since the front fender was already repainted once.....Kevin mixed some paint and matched the "Original"color perfectly and reshot the fender .........I can now look at the car and the fender color doesn't stick out like a sore thumb......."And" Jimmy Pearse came over and did his Magic "Painless Dent Removal"........I know, I know...they were a part of the cars History.......But....... Here are some pic's from today when I picked it up.... Trunk Pic's........ ![]() ![]() ![]() and Outside.......The guy's at Nostalgic had to work hard to dial back the paint finish to get it to match the original finish..... ![]() Ken ![]()

Ken,
Looks like a Fantastic Car! You gotta love those original cars, best of luck with it. Now if we only had the brains to "Put away" a couple of cars 30 or 40 years ago....... Bill |
