Tim Tag Decoding
I just bought a '65 Malibu which I think is a Canadian car. I need help decoding the cowl tag please.
Style 13837 2-3-15 Body No 237614 Paint C Trim 714 M35 Thanks in advance, Rob

1=Chevrolet 38=Supersport, 8cyl 37=2door Sports Coupe, 5 passenger 2-3-15= NOT SURE ABOUT THIS? Body Number is 237614 Paint code C = Ermine white Trm 714 = Black M35 Should be the accessory code Hope that helps a bit?

Check the VIN to confirm V8 SS. At this point it could be 6 cyl or V8.

2-3-15 Is either plant or shift #2 - March 15th build date
M35 is power glide This tag indicates Canadian built as no US plant is indicated. Chevelle stuff trim tags -Canadian
