I can't seem to be able to find the original part number for the 69 L-78 Chevelle (with smog) fan/alternator belt. I'm trying to get the correct belt from Quanta, but it's just not happening!!

Thanks Rick. Thats what I needed to know. They sent me B-589-B which says it's for 427 C.I. COPO.. Shouldn't L-78 and COPO use the same belt? The power steering belt they sent me is B-591, which appears to be correct??

Yes,they are the same...A saw that awhile ago too.
Quanta doesn't recognize that the COPO belt is actually an A.I.R. belt. They made a mistake there in the description and I informed them that's not the correct belt #,but I guess they never changed it. |

OK Thanks Rick. I'll be calling them again tomorrow. If they would have fixed the problem when you pointed it out, this wouldn't have happened AGAIN!!
