I saw this yesterday and figured others might be interested in viewing. Special paint Z28 I have never seen a special paint second generation camaro before. Looks to be all there. Owner needs to look for build sheet and amend add to include special paint color ordered.

I have seen a special paint 70 Z. Was owned by a member here. This was years ago. Be interesting to see what the cowl is sprayed.

Very interesting car indeed. Just about every color was available in 1970 except for black and most special paint cars I have seen were painted that color.
Notice the trim tag is missing the stripe color code as well. Very cool. Since it's a Norwood car I highly doubt he will find a build sheet in the car. This would be the one to do a previous owner trace on to see if any of them have the paperwork for the car. Somebody obviously repainted and added a few things to the car. The Z/28 emblem in the grill is wrong. It's a Rally Sport so no emblem should be there. I wish I didn't have a driveway full of cars, I would jump on this one. ![]() ![]() Rick H. |

Would stripe delete give you the - - paint code? Then it might be a normal color like the one it is.

I had a special paint code '70 rs z, originally black with custom black/white cloth interior 4 speed. It was an 02B built Norwood car. Unfortunately after 12 owners most of the original parts including drivetrain were long gone. It would be a good car to build and drive today. Back in the mid '90's they were'nt worth restoring without original drivetrains. Original '70 z's were still under $ 10,000.

That's the car I was thinking of Mark. That's right around when I met you at Bloomingdale McDs.
