Default First Gen Camaro Parts Business For Sale

Are you getting ready to retire and looking for something to keep you busy while making some extra income? Are you tired of your job and looking for a new adventure? Do you want to expand an existing inventory? Or do you just want the chance to make a solid investment?

I got into the Camaro parts business about 15 years ago when I was first starting to think about retiring from the fire department. I took out a good size loan and purchased a large cache of parts from a well known guy here in So Cal and have had a ton of fun since. It has helped send my three kids through college, it has led to the purchase of some neat cars, and I have met a lot of nice car folks along the way.

My wife and I just purchased some property out of state so some changes are on the horizon. It's time for me let this go and concentrate on restoring a few cars I have tucked away.

I estimate it will take between 200 - 250K to buy it all. In the next few weeks I will be getting a rough inventory and should be able to narrow the estimate. The sale will include an inventory of NOS GM parts (45% of value), used GM parts (40%), and new reproduction parts (15%). I will consider splitting into two groups: NOS and Reproduction parts as one group and used GM parts as a second group.

I have 80 -100 pieces of NOS GM sheetmetal
50 + NOS grills and mouldings
A couple thousand smaller NOS GM pieces
A completely rebuilt original ZL1 engine
An original complete 1967 L79 engine from a Chevelle
20+ GM aluminum intakes
25 - 30 doors
Several 67 and 68 factory tachs
Console gauges
Radios and tape players
25 + rally wheels
Crates and crates full of used parts
20+ upholstery kits

Along with the sale goes my dealer status with 4 large makers of reproduction parts, my regular spots at Pomona swap meet where the Camaro guys know where to expect me, and an established customer base here in So Cal and many out of state guys as well.

This has been an agonizing decision because I have enjoyed doing this so much. But it appears the time might be right. "Timing is everything".

Call me at 760-802-9376 if you want to discuss the possibility.

What's the name of your business? I had no idea you had parts to sell.

It's Chevy Classics of San Diego. I keep a pretty low profile. I have never advertised and don't have a website. I always wanted to keep this a fun, one person (me) business. I do the Pomona swap meet and the Portland, Oregon swap meet each year. Once in awhile I will throw some stuff on Ebay or Craigslist. There is certainly room for growth if someone wanted to take it to the next step.
