They are planning to build a few. The price listed on the Motion website is $427,000 each.

That Pontiac Bonneville Concept was kind of a letdown compared to last year. It was bidding like it was a $100K car not a $3M car - where was Ferrari Man?? Did he buy the car? He is hiding out behind the scenes this year like a recluse. It also looks like someone broke his arm before the auction so mayby that is why he is laying low.

The best buy of the auction was the rebel machine which sold for $16,000. I'm pissed as hell that we didn't bid on the car. We were going to do it over the phone but decided not to.

I had the oppurtunity to spend a full day with Joe Bortz a few months ago. He has so many cool old Concept/Dream cars spread out around the Chicago area that I literally lost count. Some are in little garages, some are in warehouses and a few are at a garage that does work for him along with a pair that he keeps in his garage at home.

It was an amazing day that I will never forget,

BTW; the Bonneville was one of the first cars he showed me and it sat a few cars away from the Chrysler D'Elegance and about a dozen others. Unbelieveable!

$450K for a ZL-1?? That seems to be the steal of the auction unless there is an issue with the car. I thought another one sold recently for almost twice that amount.
