There's a couple articles w/ mention of Hank Jr. racing the car summer '68 then a few 12/68 sale ads, the below ad from 12/12/68 being the last.

I always wanted one of these. My biggest dream was to own one of these and going to school with it when I was a kid When my father passed away 10 years ago he left me an apartment in Athens, an old warehouse and a Toyota FJ Cruiser. Then I decided to sell property in Athens, the warehouse and the car and buy a 1967 Camaro LS2. Still feeling strange when I drop my kids off at school with my Camaro

These were the two Camaros that I raced in the 80's and 90's. The yellow car was a real Yenko that I raced as a SS/EA and the White Car is the former Vince Alessi Select Performance SS/DA car. The picture of the White car is from the Dutch Classic at Maple Grove and the picture of the yellow car is from the Spring Nationals at Columbus.

Very cool! Do you still own these cars or know of their whereabouts?

Unfortunately I do not. Believe it or not, the yellow Yenko has been completely restored by the original owner. I sold the white car to a fellow in Iowa, turns out it is the original 427/425 COPO car that was purchased new by Vince Tarantola and became the Vitar transmission/torque converter test bed. The car was restored, as a race car, to it's original Hugger orange paint and Vitar logo.

It was always fun to drive in the yard the week after Mike came back from Carlisle. I worked summers full time for him throughout the eighty's. When I drove in the yard that morning, a clapped-out, yellow primered 67 Chevelle was on the trailer with "67 SS drag car" 1500.00 on the windshield in shoe polish. All I could think was "Why in the hell did he buy THAT?". Walking up to the front of the car, the same thing happened to me that happened to Wayne. I saw the tach cable hole on top of the dash, and I knew it was his old car.
