The credit for geting McClurg to cover a SCR goes to HawaiianCamaro. Credit for getting Bob to return goes to the many car owners who each year graciously allow Bob to shoot their cars.

After the first SCR that Bob covered, which resulted in 5-6 articles, he told me that was just the beginning. Boy was he right. Already there have been 12+ features from SCR9, and I know of at least 3 more due to come out any time.

Also........Bob has published a book with his photograph's that's a pictorial history of Drag Racing from the 60's on..........all the early days of Jr. Fuel cars, Top Fuel Cars, A/fx cars, Funny cars etc......Lions, Irwindale, he's got pictures of them all....
If you are into or missed that part of Racing History, I highly recommend getting a copy of Bob's book .....sit down......open the book......and drift back in time....
Man...I can still smell the Nitro and hear the "Crackling" exhaust from the Fueler's....."Way Cool"

For those who may not know, Bob McClurg is not new to shooting rare cars, especially Yenkos. Way back in early 1969, Bob had just started to work for Super Stock and Drag Illustrated, when he was told to report to York US30 for a photo shoot. His assignment was to cover the drag test of both a Yenko Camaro and Chevelle. As they say, the rest is history.

Is the Feb 2007 Chevy Rumble issue still in stores? I can't seem to find it around here.
