Richard, this is a site where people who KNOW really want to help the folks that DON'T.
It is not what you ask, it's how you ask it. Or it's not what you say, but how you say it.
There are lots of guys here who flip cars, but IF they present the car as something without the proof to back it up, you WILL have a thread like this one. You were fishing for information on a car that you wanted to buy, then sell, for a profit. No problemo. Please be aware that like you, there are many, many others here with the same objective: Buy Low, Sell High.
If you think that you have found a car that nobody here knows about, think twice.
Don't think about being thought of as a fool. However, it's better to be "Kuntry Dumb" than "Slick Willy".
These guys will quickly dump sand on any oil found on the track.

Car was priced to me tonight at 70K out of the blue by someone that has not seen this thread and doesn't frequent here. Supposed to be apart for paint.

So unless SYC members qualify for the student discount, the 90k firm applied only to the guy flipping it sight unseen?

God bless America!

He was the Baltimore plant manager in 1970 He had 3 LS-6's that He drove in the beginning of the year a Green one , a Gold one and a Black one don't know the order , I do remember that the Black one ran much better than the other 2. The green one probally was the Pilot but there were always more than one. I have to find a buildsheet that was handwritten I have for a 1971 labeled PP2 1/2 Pre production run pull at end of line for inspection built @ June of 70, a Malibu again no emblems with all the SS equippment 402, Th400, F41, 3:31 12 bolt, HD cooling,14x6 wheels, baby moons, White with a Blue top and Cloth bench interior. Wish I had kept that one !

Not sure where the $70K out of the blue quote came from either Not me.

Better to get the Student Discount then the Senior Citizen discount.. though, on second thought, the senior discount might just be better

The fathom green pilot coupe was built 12-9,it was a courtesy car built for Ray Pasternak, then the head of service for the NE region. He took delivery second week Dec,and put 3k miles on it that month showcasing it to all the Dealerships in his zone.I spoke with him a few months back and he told me of a call he recieved in Nov from a plant manager advising him that his car would "take a little more time to build, because it was the first one" I wonder if it was your friend that he was talking to?

I can't answer that as Glenn passed a few years back. It was really cool when I moved in one day him and his son were cutting the field next to me and saw all the Chevelles that I have moved up here and the Stories just started rolling . He was a GTO fan, but the 70 LS-6 definately impressed him. There barn had several GTO's that I wound up with and his son still has the 73 GTO 4spd that his dad had built specially for him for his 16th birthday !

The 70K came from a dealer that called me asking what I thought it was worth. He can sell it to me for 70K. It seems this car that wishes to remain private is known all over the country.

What a terrible thread this has turned out to be. Greed has reared its ugly head again in this hobby. Has any body kept track of how many people now are trying to sell this particular car that they don't even own? I guess when there's a dollar to made, morals go out the window.
