Smoke the tires one more time? Three words: Russ Dunmire Olds.
I think Frank's smart enough to know that if someone is willing to give you a big old check, that car is now theirs and you shouldn't beat on it anymore. That's when the fan blade/connecting rod bolt/whatever will decide to leave this world and leave you looking dumb (and poor after the deal sours). Just my 2 cents.....

The deal is finalized. I will not go into who the current owner is or what they paid for it out of respect for their privacy, but I can tell you that they are NOT a member of this or ANY other car web sites. All I can tell you is that the car sold for a WORLD RECORD PRICE. I am sure you will all see this car out and about soon enough. The bad part is that since it was a legit deal Uncle Sam is probably happier than I am at this point. He is gonna profit BIG TIME from this deal.

As far as how I feel.......not the best about the deal. Even with all this money now, I am at about a 3 on an excitement scale of 10. I had to do what I had to do I guess and now will take the steps to improving my life. The unfortunate part is because of how much this car sold for it will probably go out to pasture. The new owner said it himself. The glory days of 18 year olds that owned it in the past using it as a 10 second drag car or guys like me driving it through the streets of Chicago in bumper to bumper traffic are over. The exciting moments of the car screaming through the traps at Gateway International at the Supercar Reunions are now history. I will miss her.....

Thanks again to everybody that helped me and was there with me to enjoy the good times I had with my Yenko Deuce.

I will miss our banter at the SCR's - for there is nothing more exciting than hearing two deuces screaming through the traps at 7k rpm. Good luck my friend, I will keep a lookout for another one for ya

Frank,
I know first hand that it was hard for you. At least you have have good plans for the money and plan to move onto other things. I only hope I can help any way I can. Good luck!

Is he at least a true car guy? Sounds like it was more an investment than anything
