Good question. His prices on some of his cars do seem a little "out of reach" on prices. I could think of another color than orange for the interior, especially on a black 69Z.

Why does a 1700 mile car need a resto. Kinda negates the 1700 mile part.

I was thinking the same thing Charley when I read the ad. I can see if the car was parked outside, but not if it was always in a garage/shop since 69. It would be something if it really only had 1,700 miles on it. I would have to take a look at this car in person to find out for sure.

He said it's been off the road since 1969... My guess is sitting in a field because it was wrecked. Maybe used as a planter box by the back door... No pic's of his personal car on his site that I could find.

I talked with the owner Richard English and he told me the car was rolled over and needs the roof replaced so he decided to do the whole car. He is asking $120k US for the car finished.

I don't get it. If the car is totally restored wouldn't the fact that it's low mileage be irrelevant? I'm guessing the $120k price is predicated on the low mileage distinguishing it from any other totally restored Z/28 (one with 101,700 miles vs. 1,700 for odometer purposes).

Now the 1700 mile guy has relisted the add with the title "Sale Pending". I guess there are quite a few guys out there with a spare $120k for an RS Z/28.

is there any truth to the idea that a canadian built muscle car is less desirable than a usa built car. not because of weather taking its toll or political reasons or anything such as that, but that its just not as desirable to collectors? and also saying any car in question has proper docs.
