Both were possible,Goodyear polys or Firestone Wide Oval, and were the most popular.
Uniroyal Tiger Paw & General 700 Bia Belts were too,but those aren't reproduced today. A few have claimed to have gotten their '70 Chevelle w/B.F.Goodrich Silvertowns too. The buildsheet & window sticker didn't specify brand. All are F70X14 size. "Here come the Hawks, the Mighty BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACKHAWKS!" |

I know Firestones and Goodyears were available in 69.
In '69, the Goodyears for Chevelle and Camaro were Speedway Wide Treads, with Polyglas in very late availability. The date has been a controversy, but I know that Camaro Pace cars wore Firestones of GY Polyglas. The track car was wearing 15" 'Vette rims with Speedway's. Let me know what you are looking for and the build date and we can add some clarity to the picture!

I have never seen a replica with a orig. Polyglas tire on it from the factory. I have a orig. Wide Tread out of a replica.

The Chevele's build date was September 1969

The reason I ask about the build date of the car is that Goodyear had a rolling change out on the sidewall design. The rollout changes occurred during the October to December 1969 time frame.
