I want to say that the owner's name is Dave Price ?? or Place ??
 I'm terrible remembering names, but the car was originally a 402, and he converted it to a 454. Strangely optioned car out of Illinois.

Oh, and as you said, I believe Gary Place is the guy. I kept hearing it on the loud speaker, and it seemed as I'd heard the name before, but wasn't sure where...
