So the fact that people questioned the car and it's originality led to more history on the car. That's great, the more rare muscle cars we can document the better, but why the negative response? I would be greatful to learn more about my car. Your Chevelle is obviously a meticulously(sp?) restored, correct LS6 convertible. The people that have been researching and following these cars for years are trying to build their knowledge base so why not help out and join in. The more documentation put together on LS6 convertibles will only enhance their value further. A perfect example is my LA built JL8 Camaro had some subtle differences in the brake light warning switch from a Norwood built JL8 Camaro. We could argue over one being correct and the other being wrong, but they are both being restored by the same person so he knows what he found. If you have the earliest built LS6 conv, then that will add tremendously to the research.

I reread the thread and didn't see anything as "thrashing" to your car. I didn't want to waste your time and e-mail you as I was not interested in purchasing your Chevelle.

I was however interested in seeing what I consider to be a very early and rare build sheet.

I can assure you that some, if not all of the members who responded can afford the ten bucks, maybe even the whole hunsky.

While we were serious about seeing the build sheet, we were having some fun with the method

It is OK to have fun isn't it?

The last time I checked this is America and just as you are free not to respond to any questions or requests, we are certainly free to ask!

So why did the auction end early, did the car sell?

BTW, welcome.

I too, am curious as to why the auction ended early. Is the car still for sale?

One other thing, I feel the need to mention is the fact that if you truly are interested in getting the kind of money you are asking for your car, someone that is a member of this site could be your best bet as a buyer. I recommend that you get to know us, not criticize us and see what happens. I think you will find that these guys are a fiendly, helpful and informative bunch. Good luck in your dealings with your special car.

I'm with Stefano on this one. I normally keep out of this type of post, but I didn't see any trashing of the car, just some questions being asked (is it real, what about that build date, etc).

As a new member to the registry, the guys (i consider friends)are invaluable with the knowledge that they bring to this (stoning just kidding) hobbie. My responce to this thread, would be that everyone came away with more than they brought and that if you stand on the highist stool in the room, you will be noticed. Ok Then If you guys want to help maybe you can do this..here is a copy of a remark made by someone who is from some other affiliate,im SURE some of you guys know him...ask him if he has the guts to put up 10000 against the title of my car that the buildsheet is real as he clearly makes reference to doing..i am willing to go for it,so BRING IT ON ,hope hes not a coward...this should end any speculation should he come forward or will he choose to choke on his words and spin this around to save his face and his 10000..well see who "shuts up who"......From: Franklinville, NJ 08322

I have a better idea. If he thinks he is so correct, screw the 10 grand, put up the title for the car . I bet 10 grand that says he won't do that. That's how you shut guys like that up.

I too have re-read this entire post, and can't find any thrashing about you or your car. If you have taken offense to the statements from the Team Chevelle post, then it might be best to take it up on that board. I don't follow any other boards, so if you have already addressed this with the Team Chevelle guys, then disregard my suggestion.

This site is devoted to 'SuperCars', and although an LS6 rag is a rare and desirable musclecar, it doesn't really fit into the scope of this particular site and board. These types of topics arise here because some SuperCar owners also have LS6/LS6 rag cars, but we can't be held responsible for the comments of someone from another 'affiliate'.

Welcome, and best of luck with the car.

I also would propose making two 5000.00 checks out to a charitable organization and myself as i dont wish to profit entirely from this nonsense....Im sure this self proclaimed "Big shot" is looking to "save face" as my japanese friend would say and wiggle out of the proposal,so i guess this is all moot anyway,if not some lucky charity is going to send a big"thank you" ....... And for your trouble,If you guys are successful in collecting the money,i will then forward a copy of the buildsheet to anyone in the free world that would like to see it..No questions asked
