16-plug small block Chevy engine in development for the Grand Sport is just one example of where Chevy was headed for performance before the 1963 GM racing ban snuffed it all out.

----Yup! That's as it appeared on the cover of Corvette news. It sat way too high initially as we didn't have time to adjust it. The 1st showing was at that years B-Gold and the car was finished the night before. You could almost stick your whole hand down one of the Weber's throats....Bill S

hard to find pictures of the Grand Sport from 1963 when the Yenko Gulf team had it

The Corvette #1 is Don's "light weight" 57 that he built to run in B/P

Pictured below is Bill Scott ( Scotty) with what looks like an air hose in his hand. I know they had pneumatic jack system installed in car for quick tire and brake changes. Perhaps they were in the process of lifting the car.
