John,
I knew Bob was the middleman, and I know that several people looked the car over. No one would have played games with the seller if they'd known the selling dealer was Baldwin & only you seem to have this info. I'll admit to hearing different senarios about it being real & not real. The proof is surely in the documentation that you got from Joel and the claim that it was actually delivered to Baldwin Chev. As I mentioned elsewhere, I have yet to see any factual, work order, type documentation from Joel Rosen. Just letters. If you were to get an NICB report confirming Baldwin then the car's history becomes more credulious & far more likely to get a blessing from Joel. John, so either the seller found the original documents relating to the car or an NICB report was run. So, please tell us...what are the facts? |

You were the first allowed to look at the car and you offered him 20K. I was the second guy and paid him his price. Bob told you and I both that Joel Rosen knew the previous owner of the car. I confirmed this with Joel so at that point, its a no brainer. Again, as I stated before, Bob only spoke to Joel on the phone and never sent the $ to get it documented. I did. As for documenting Motion cars there is only one way to do it. You may have your opinions on him. However, I have always had a good experience with him. I have bought several cars in the past that I thought were Baldwin Motion cars, spoke to Joel on the phone on these cars, sent the $ in to get them documented and they turned out not being a Baldwin Motion car and lost my money. Its a chance you take when trying to get them documented. |

John,
In case you haven't been able to read between the lines I'll tell you my theory. The Vette was listed for sale & you called got the vin from the middleman. The vin was run on NICB which told you it came from Baldwin Chev. You bought the car, sent Joel the info you had then posted it here for sale at $275K after Joel confirmed it was real. A google search of your name reaveals that you may be the police captain for West Haven Ct police dept. If my thoery is incorrect I hope you & the members accept my appology. It's just that the pieces seem to fit together. BTW I never made an offer to the seller because of the lack of documentation. |

Jude-
Well, your theory is wrong. However, it is interesting that 2 days after I purchased the car, I received a call from Bob representing you wanting to buy the car from me and all of a sudden Bob had informed me with new information that the car was delivered to Baldwin Chevrolet. Bob told me that the gentlemen that wants to buy the car knows it is a Baldwin Motion vette and will pay me accordingly and make it worth it. So Jude, why don't you tell everyone on supercar how "you got the information on the car"? Well, now you have an opportunity to purchase the car like everyone else, by bidding on ebay. Second of all, I think you have a heck of a nerve to google anyone and no I am not in anyway related with a captain in West Haven Police Department. So once again, your theories are all wrong about me. You are just trying to discredit my car on ebay because you didn't offer Bob the right price at the start and lost the car. |

John, what is the history on the car? Any good story on who the original buyer was? What paperwork is there on this car.
One hell of a car buy the way!! I would never be able to sell a treasure like this. I think I would just spend my days sitting in the garge staring at it!! ![]()

Bill-
I am the 3rd owner of the car. The car maybe shortly reunited with the original owner. It seems like he is very interested and wants to buy his car back. The car started its life as an SS427 phase III corvette, went back to Motion for more performance modifications a second time. The car did see time on the drag strip and the vehicle is currently documented by Joel Rosen. Thank you for your positive feedback on the car. The only reason I am selling this treasure is because I have my eyes on another gem. |

John-
I think you should mention this in your Ebay ad and in your ad on this site. Having full history and having the original owner able to verify everything sure helps. Without that it leaves some holes and questions in the authenticiy and veracity of the car. I must admit with the brief description on both ads it sure made me wonder why that wasn't being brought up. With a high dollar car like this one history either makes or breaks the car. If the you have the history on it and are in contact with the original owner and can prove where the car came from and where it has been why not talk about it? Do you have any older photos of the car in its prime?? It sure seems that anyone who posts a car for sale on here and tells everything they know about the car and it's histry sells the car in short order. Good luck with the sale and thank you for letting us know about the history of the car!

John, I've never spoken to Bob & I don't believe that he called you to tell you it came from Baldwin Chev. I don't want to buy it from you and turned it down because there was no Baldwin docs, Motion doc's or even a title to look at.
My search for info led me to a listing of only two guys with your name in the CT 203 area code. Your phone # is 203 & the police dept is also a 203 area code & the captain shares your name. You are the seller & you have advertised it as a Baldwin car. Is it? If you're not Capt Serra, are you otherwise involved in law enforcement? |
