[ QUOTE ]
If it was actually for sale, It would probably pull in the hemi cuda convertible range.

[/ QUOTE ]The Super Snake holds More Automotive Historical Significance than any Hemi Cuda. Documents are Nice. Many are Forged. Protect O Plate Makers available at Auctions. And I am certain the GT500E comes with a Folder Full of Carefully printed and Signed Papers including that World Famous Swirly Autograph of the Legend himself authorizing the Car. I saw the actual Footage of Carroll Shelby Burning up the Track in the Super Snake! Now That was Documentation at it's BEST! But I am Partial to Shelby products and this is admittedly a Biased opinion!!

There was some great buys, wonder if they really were great buys or was there something about them that wasent right. Also you don't know if these cars really did sell or did the sellers have to buy them back, becouse some sure did seem cheap in comparison to scottsdale. Howard Hughes car getting 1.5 mill....WOW, i would'nt have thought that car was that special. Craig Jackson was quoted as saying that Palm Beach has the potential to be even better than scottsdale, could very well be.

Getting back to that RED 67 SS Convert. Chevelle... I am just blown away!!

Seriously.. I follow the price trends pretty close I think... on 66 and 67 SS Chevelles.. but I can't say that I have ever seen a 66 or 67 SS Chevelle SELL for that much money?? Has anyone else ever witnessed a price like that? Whether it be a Private Sale or ebay or Auction.. for a 66 or 67 SS I mean?

I'd love to hear about it. I did look at the photos of this particular car at the BJ site and yes, it appears to be a nice car, several restoration mistakes, but nothing crazy from what I can see.. but even if it was PERFECT, $132,000!

Anybody? Even with an auction and people letting the MOMENT get them carried away..what happened here, did anyone see the bidding on this?

Mike

I noticed much less negative comments from the Narrators. I would say almost to the point of ridiculous behaviour and actually over complimenting some cars that they normally would have shredded!! Of Course Craig Jackson likes Palm Beach!! He doubled his profits compared to last year. Got the East Coast Cash that can fly in easier to there than to Scottsdale. and did you see the Gals in those Bikinis???? Watermelon smugglers at their finest!! I am sure some High Rollers got treated to a Private audience with them.......

God bless Steve Magnante. Every time the others threatened to go down some hole of innanity, they'd pull him in and he would politely redirect back to reasonable analysis of musclecar buying patterns. Also displayed impressive facts & figues knowledge of everything I saw. I sure hope he's in the mix for Scottsdale coverage next year.

Was surprised to see on Sunday when that '63 340hp/409 Impala ragtop brought more than the (apparently) documented TA Challenger 4sp, even if the TA was green/green. (And anyone who's read my postings knows I'm a lover of big early 60's muscle and not the biggest E-body fan.)

Magnante's a pretty good model car builder too. His musclecar commentary on the B-J coverage made DeCadanet look like a dope. One noteworthy catch by Magnante was the Q-jet on the black '66 427 Corvette coupe (with the bypassed heater core and '67 Stinger hood and '67 wheels). I don't think DeCadanet understood the significance of a Quadrajet on a '66 427 Corvette.

Hi; 416 had the Tank Sticker. It was an Original #'s match car with original stamps, IU code. It had an Unhit body. Nicely optioned. I Consigned it for the Owner. I tried to attach a copy of the tank sticker here, but the file was too big. Any Ideas?. Jim
