![]() My '87 Monte Carlo SS Aero coupe. The Values of these hasn't changed much in 20 years unless its an extremely low mileage car or New in the Wrapper..... this ones a 30k original example that's stagnant in the market , just like the G-P Aeros......

Demand (and prices) for parts has certainly increased, at least around here. In the past year, I've sold some G-body odds and ends for decent money, stuff that ten years ago would have ended up in the trash. |

I know this thread is 11 years old, but I've been looking for people who knew the car scene in the Cedar Falls area in the 70's and 80's. My '68 H/O was sold through Friedley Olds (likely used, as original invoice dealer is JJ Wright), and was stored in a Shell Rock barn from likely the mid-80's until 4 years ago. I talked to Mr. Friedley, and he remembered selling several H/O's, nothing in particular about mine.
I have a ton of pictures and information on it here: https://www.oldsmobilecentral.com/fo...-hurstolds.php The car had headers, Montgomery Ward air shocks, 4.66 gears, the trans had aftermarket high performance clutches and the higher stall th350 converter... somebody was out trying to do some racing. I'd be curious to see if anybody ever saw this car around back in the day.

Do you have the car, or are you looking for it? I don't remember that car, but there was/maybe still is, one setting in a junk yard in Wis not to far from Dubuque.
Same yard as the infamous Yenko dirt track Chevelle. |

Thanks for the response. I have it sitting in the garage here... in the process of restoring it, just trying to find some history before any traces that may be left disappear.

Cedar Rapids was insane back then. Every stop light was a drag race. All makes and models. ist ave Plymouth had 3 transport loads of AAR Cudas. Mr G's speed shop had 2 locations if I remember correctly.
Now they have speed cameras, and decibel meters. If you fart to loud you get a ticket. |
