Some guys like restamps and restoration engines or whatever a 'perfect replication' may be but most of us who still prefer Original Engines consider Matching #'s = Restamp parts until proven otherwise.

He had owned these El Caminos a long time. Remember there was a spread in early to mid 2000's in Musclecar Review magazine. The red 71, the red 69, the black 67, and the 59. Back then I figured the 71 was a made up SS454, lower chrome body side mouldings, no remote driver mirror, dash looks like a repro, etc. etc. By the way, no SS396 El Camino in 66 and 67. All 396 engines were available , but not as a SS in 66 and 67 El Camino.
