I have gotten a lot of flak today from several people due to the fact that I am restoring the car. Trust me when I say this car could not be saved as a survivor. While the body is mostly in very good solid condition the interior was toast and the engine was completely disassembled. If I were to put it back together and make it a driver it would not be a true survivor by definition so that is why it is being restored. It is just not in good enough condition as is to save as a survivor. If I thought it could be I certainly would.

I would not tell Steve Wynn how to run a Hotel business and I certainly don't think anyone should be telling you how to restore a Rick Nelson Chevelle!

The best part , to me, of this is a great super car goes to two very deserving, hard working people and not straight into a huge collection.
Rick, had to hear the same BS about restoring Grady's 69 Nova years ago, no explanation needed hear. I don't understand how anyone can have a opinion without seeing the car ? Good for both of you. ![]() Mike |

WOW!! Beautiful Car Rick. Can't wait to see this one done... And the perfect color to boot, I can relate to restoring a car and not having to do a bunch of cutting out rot and welding in new patches. You guys most have enjoyed going through all of that shit looking for Chevelle parts, Hopefully all of the fasteners were in one box, But looking at that garage they were probably scattered everywhere. Mark .
