Joy.

Just had to conclude this...that is, at least "conclude" for today;

Waited around until after 11:00--no sign of the crew. Called the scheduling guy, he said he'd call the crew to find out where they were and get right back to me. 11:30 he calls back, crew says they got hung up on another job and wouldn't be able to make it today. Scheduling guy apologizes, we agree to re-schedule for Saturday morning.

One full morning wasted.

3:00: I'm sitting here online looking for parts and hear trucks roll up outside. Take a peek out the window and there's a mini backhoe on a trailer getting ready to unload. I walk outside and ask them if they're here for this job, guy says yes. I informed him that I'd spoken to the scheduling guy and everything was now set for Saturday--"Nobody said anything about that to me."

Why does that not surprise me.

Crew takes a peek at the job, says "It probably won't be us, we're not going to work Saturday" and heads back to their trucks.

I've got an uneasy feeling about all this.

To summarize: Day pretty much wasted for me, and Rachel's none too amused (rightfully so). Not much of a Valentine's day for her either.

Hope you and Rachel get to go out tonight. Looks like you spent enough time at home today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
