They look nice but since the centers are chromed now they look very similiar to the new Cragars except for being direct fit.

How could they look like the "new cragars". They're not the new ones.

New Cragar centers are chrome like the outer rims where as vintage Cragars are not. They are more dull in the centers. That is the difference between new and vintage...and the straight lug of course.
Nothing wrong with yours...they are great and look bad ass on the Camaro! Great stance as well! Dave 67 Nova Boy |

What everyone's saying is that the original Cragars had terrible, crappy chrome around the lug area that was sometimes fluffed with silver paint. Yours look awesome.

I looked at the SS Cragars Wheels on the front of "The Grump" 68 Camaro,on this site, and they look good around the lug area no fluff needed. Back in the day they look good or they were "fluffed",I don't know, but back in the day I remember that they all ways look good. Did Cragar make the wheels better back then or the wheels were not beat up yet,I don't know. But I like the look of Cragars on cars.

I believe the older Cragars had aluminum centers which made them look a little different and also the spokes were more round than today. Check with the Guru's on that. Car looks real good Richard.

You are correct on the aluminum centers. All of the chrome guys would tell me you can't plate dissimilar metals together. I quess that's the reason the quys in Calif. cut them apart, plate the two pieces and then Tig weld back together. The guys from TX didn't cut them apart. Do the JEGS specials have steel spokes?
