Could have been painted over at AGR as a tape off and then through the touch-up oven there.

I have a "day 2" motion modded Curry 69 Camaro that is close to completion:

Original story is that it was a BM car, but after getting "that" special piece of paper, found out it was a Curry car.

X66D80, no radio car.

Check out the leaf spring mod:

Have not been able to find much info on Curry, and was told by many that they had no links to HiPo cars and then found the ad above. As well as this clinic they put on:

If anyone comes across any history, I'd appreciate it. This car also has a unique "weld" in the front subframe, I am sure as a mark, if anyone comes across any history on my car.

Paint a whole car at touch up? - I smell a strike coming on!

That's right... but a labor stoppage was not needed to get it done.

Did someone document that Phil? I mean, the car had to be assembled to make its way to touch up. So, the car would have to be disassembled to repaint it. It's not just a tape & spray - you've got the jambs, cowl, etc. that are the wrong color!

Has someone actually signed a statement saying that this happened. I had 1,000 people working for me at GM & I can tell you for sure that anyone who authorized something like this would have gotten an involintary retirement the next day!

Bergy that's a good prospective... for Norwood I have Photographs of entire cars being painted at AGR, and have interviewed the superintendent of that area. I can assure you that entire cars were painted when needed at AGR all the way from basic DUCO color coating repair due to bad paint match at Sheet metal drop - to an entire color change for a non standard color.

Anything's possible. More likely that the painter didn't purge the gun properly when changing colors. The painters each had one gun, so they had to purge the head when they changed lines from the old color to the new color. We always sprayed in the trunk first just in case the gun wasn't fully purged. That's more likely what happened here.

PM me the superintendent's name - I may know him.

Bergy you might recall some of these people, as I recall several were at other GM plants also.

Curry Chevrolet is no more than 5 minute from me. I didn't realize they did anything special except sell basic cars.
