Thanks for the compliments! Matt, it wasn't a cage, just a custom made hoop bar with a rear angle brace. I had it installed just to meet NHRA tech. It also had a head rest as per the rules back then. With a stock L-78 in it (3960lbs with 5gals of gas on a 10.00lbs/CuIn class break) it ran a best of 13.15 @ 107. I never did get a good run on it with the open chamber tunnel ram motor. It was just waaaaay too much power for the trans and the slicks became worthless. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/[/img]

My SST wheels have been on my car since 1992. I bet they discontinued the SST when production went to China. I believe the original tooling was not sent over, but they simply made new tooling. I'm sure the old tooling is still in the US, just don't know in what state it is in or where it is at.

So you're fine, but 67427 is looking for a pair, and I don't want him to unwittingly buy Chinese wheels. But because they probably discontinued the SST when they moved aluminum component production overseas, he probably doesn't have to worry.
