Yep.The same Schmidt... The Bob Schmidt emblem from Maumee Ohio is one the last chrome bolt on ones used. Originally Bob's father ran Carl Schmidt Chevrolet in Perrysburg ,Ohio from the 40's until his death in the mid 60's. Bob took over the dealership then and didn't change to his own name until the early 70's. The dealership then moved to Maumee Ohio , about 5 miles away, during the 1974 model year.

Hopefully as a result of this service, some cars surface from dealers I have paperwork from!

I received my NCRS document today and my 1970 Daytona Yellow Chevelle LS6 came from these guys:
Celozzi-Ettleson Chevrolet
Elmhurst, Il.
Zone 11 Dealer 108

Does anyone remember this car from this area/dealer?

I've talked to Mike Ettleson, the son of Maury Ettleson and he's going to ask some "old timers" if they remember the car.

THANK YOU NCRS & Roy for sending me in the right direction.

Michael

I received mine today.

My car was delivered to George Olsen Chevrolet in San Francisco.
Zone 6, Dealer 452

I think it spent some time in Modesto (radiator tag). Probably came down here to So Cal in the 1980's. I bought it in 1990.

Michael,

Celozzi-Ettleson Chevrolet
Elmhurst, Il.
Zone 11 Dealer 108

Was in my home town.....it was a Great Dealership....remember it like it was yesterday..... a lot of great cars were SOLD from Celozzi-Ettleson Chevrolet. Including a lot of LS6`s.

I almost had the opportunity to restore your Chevelle....former owner had us (NOS Restoration) bid on a Frame-Off Restoration. I would have loved to have restored it.

Dan

Dan, if I read right you are from Elmhurst? Do you remember a Zepelak Chevrolet Inc. on Roosevelt in '66/'67?
