[ QUOTE ]
You hear all the supporters of this saying that this country was built on immigration. This is true but they came here legally, learned English and went through the whole citizenship process. A lot of these illegals are working for minimum wage or lower. This is the only reason people hire them and want them to stay here. What will happen if the government decides to let them stay and grants citizenship? If these 11 million people all of a sudden become legal, all the people that hire them will have to start paying at least minimum wage and and all the same benifits that Americam workers get. This will cost these companies billions of dollars. I say send them all back to their home countries and give the jobs they have to all the people living off welfare, food stamps and unemployment. That would be like killing two birds with one stone.

James,
This is where the Clinton's NAFTA plan comes into effect.
If these "newly legalized" illegals become too costly, "we"
will just have to retrain them for other jobs. Now can
we start to see how costly this is going to get?
