No car cover. The cover moving around from the wind will rub paint off as you go down the road, at least thats the stories I've heard.

Never trailer with a car cover, unless it's an enclosed trailer. You will have no paint on any of the edges of the body panels when you arrive. Plus, think of the lawsuit that will ensue when the car cover flies off your car and lands on the windshield of a schoolbus full of nuns and orphans.

[/ QUOTE ]

Plus you take the risk of some Redneck jumping off the back of a pickup onto the trailer to see if your car's got a Hemi 'n it!

Well, I traveled to Michigan with every intention of bringing the Corvette home but, what I found when I arrived was not what I expected. The car was no where near the condition described in the ad and was not a numbers matching car as I had been led to beleive in various phone conversations.
Needless to say, I left for home minus the car. My search continues and I will not be looking to Ebay for that "perfect" Corvette anymore.

Ebay is becoming a scammers haven. I bid on a couple 69 camaro quarter panels and was outbid by 10 bucks then I get 7 emails from other people trying to sell me these same exact quarters for a little less

Tough break, the 2 cars that I bought off ebay, both cost me round trip airline tickets on short notice. The first car got bought as soon as I layed eyes on it. The second car was not as advertised, so I took a pass on it. 2 months later, the called me up and asks if I'm still interested in the car for the 10K less that I said I'd bid on it, so I ended up buying that one too. Don't know if he ever gave ebay a commission though. At least you're not stuck with a POS now.

It has nothing to do with Ebay. The same thing could have happened to you if you responded to an ad on "Traderonline" or "Corvette Trader". Would that mean you wouldn't use those sources anymore if you checked into an ad and found someone misrepresented a car?

That's ridiculous. These people that misrepresent cars and make people travel to look at it really start to make me mad. The guy told you it was number's matching and when you get there it isn't! I'd be leaving him neg feedback so he doesn't make someone else travel for no reason. Sorry to hear the car wasn't what you hoped for.
