[ QUOTE ]
Also keep in mind MOTION was much more than just Joel he would have never done it on his own [/ QUOTE ] As with any privately owned business that expands.... Most certainly, Joel shared a story with me where he presented his HAND WRITTEN business plan to Baldwin Chevrolet when the whole thing got started. I dare say he was getting his hands dirty in the beginning. Let alone the racing he did he estabish Motion's reputation?? According to him Motion was a two "man" shop at the time...he and his lovely wife Judith. When I was in Long Island picking up the last two cars, He handed me the keys and then quickly took them back only to remove his spark plug gapper off the ring.... "My good luck piece" I am sure there was a tremendous amount of history in that one small item. ![]() Dan

Joel was/is a very talented mechanic, driver, and business man and Marty Schorr has got to be the master of marketing. The two of them made Motion larger than life. Joel certainly had talent in the shop. One name in particular........Bill Mitchell.
![]() I don't have a problem with them using "Baldwin" with the new car. Certainly it is what we all remember from the magazines back in the day and today it adds perceived value. |
