Mark... Take a close look at the hole for the shifter. Orig Z28 ones were cut with a torch and not a saw. I don't want us be the bearers of bad news but we might be. The exhaust plate should be welded to the frame rail and in the pic it just looks like the frame is drilled. I can put you in touch with someone in LA that could examine the car. I'd be interested in the Xram but I know you have your hands full.

I think I need to go back to the shop and take a look at the car. I feel that I am on thin ice when I say I disagree with Kurt on the trim tag because I have pictures of trim tags from the same May sequence that look very close. But I do not have an explanation for the missing plate and I will look at the shifter hole. Gee thanks for the bad news guys but it might be better now than when I dump $50,000 in the car thinking its real.

The NOR number looks really crooked and the shifter hole does look too clean to be cut with a torch.
