There were roadblocks set up on your way out of town with that car. Two locals were heart broken it got away. That is one of those cars that can sell in an hour. Super nice car, Pat.

If anyone is interested,I picked up a 70 Formula 400 / 4 speed that has an original 32,000 miles. The engine had thrown a rod back in 1984 and it sat in a backyard. The engine has been pulled and the block is at the shop right now confirming that thare are no cracks (I hope). Anyway, it is original, down to the exhaust manifolds. The only rust was in both sail panels (vinyl top meets quarter) and the car is an AC solid car. It has original paint (castellion bronze) and interior. It has the lowback seats and no spoiler (the only way the 70 formula 400's came).
The ONLY part missing is the original air cleaner.
I bought the car from the original owners nephew. It comes with a small 70's type pocket notebook. Interesting reading, The original owner was a document freak. Every time the oil was changed, he recorded it in the notebook, even when he rotated the tires. In 1980ish he gave the car to his Nephew, along with the notebook. The nephew kept up with the notebook, and even at one point the notes stop (I think around 1982), then a few months later the notes pick up with "found notebook, starting notes again". Then in 1982, the last entry "threw rod doing burnouts, parked car in backyard", which is where I bought it. Again, other than those few burnouts, the car was not abused and the engine was virgin!
Again, rust is minimal, only missing original part is the air cleaner. I just picked up a 428CJ Eliminator to restore, so if anyone wants to make a decent offer on the formula I would be willing to sell it (pending the block check on price).
